headed to my favorite smallie spot for an afternoon of fishing. i had 2 rods rigged. my 7'6"pro qualifier,cardinal 502,stren microfuse3/8 and a 1/4 strike king rocket shad that i modified. my 2nd setup was a 6' berkley lightning rod,cardinal 502, berkley trilene xl 2lb test,and a strike king hellgramite. fished the rocket shad fast enough so i was just underneth the surface and the hellgramite i would cast and let drift in the current |

7/29/10 HOUSATONIC LAKE SMALLIES
6:00 AM THE BASS WERE HITTING TOP WATER PLUGS. I CAUGHT A 5+ AND A 3+LB SMALLIE, MISSED ANOTHER THAT SKY ROCKETED AND SPIT MY LURE THAT WAS ANOTHER 5+ LBS, THEN CAUGHT A SMALL ONE. FISH WERE RELEASED AFTER SOME PHOTOS TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY. IM A BIG BELIEVER IN CATCH AND RELEASE |

Went smallmouth fishing and got into a school of white perch practically every cast i got a fish. Caught a 2lb crappie and a smallmouth and about 30-40 perch, so many lost count after 25 |
