| 16th Annual LCI All Season Tournament |
5/1/2009 - 9/30/2009 |
Lake Champlain |
Five Full Months of Competitive Fishing!
Now with Cold, Cool and Warm Water Winners Each Month
Again in 2009 Lake Champlain International, Inc. is proud to bring you Lake Champlain’s only full-season fishing tournament. Designed for dedicated anglers of all types, the 15th Annual LCI ALL-SEASON TOURNAMENT continues the tradition of providing a continuous low-pressure competition for the serious Lake Champlain angler. The LCI ALL-SEASON TOURNAMENT is structured so that the more people who fish, the more money you can win ... and with the 15 monthly winners dividing up the cash pool, your chance for a portion of the prize money is alive right down to the final day. But the best thing about this contest is that there is no need to rush, because you have All Season to fish!
OVERVIEW The 2009 LCI All-Season Tournament will run for five full months. Eligible species include all species of trout, Atlantic salmon, large- and smallmouth bass, northern pike, channel catfish and walleye. All species can be entered throughout the tournament during their respective legal seasons. Fishing in the tournament begins May 1 and runs continuously through September 30th, including right through the LCI Father’s Day Fishing Derby presented by Yamaha. Prizes will be awarded each month for the highest point-value fish entered that month in each division.
HOW TO REGISTER You may register on the web (discounted price), by telephone or by fax through May 31st, 2009, or through the mail until May 15, 2008 (deadlines apply; see Rules & Regulations).
If you prefer to purchase your registration in person, you may do so at any of LCI’s Official 2008 Retail Outlets only through Friday, June 19th.
PRIZES The featured prizes of the 2009 LCI All-Season Tournament will be drawn from a Cash Prize Pool created by allocating 40% of the value of all 2009 LCI ALL-SEASON TOURNAMENT registrations sold. After tournament close, 90% of the contents of the Cash Prize Pool will be dispersed to the fifteen 2009 Monthly Prize winners by order of the highest point values of the five winning entries within each division. The remaining 10% of the Cash Prize Pool will be awarded to the Lonely Lunker Prize.
The Lonely Lunker Prize. It seems that, over the past couple of years, anyway—some extremely lovely catches, such as Brian Bashaw’s 9.57-lb Walleye in 2007, and Earl Hatch’s 13.46 lb Lake Trout in 2006, went unrewarded because they happened to be caught, due to unfortunate timing, during a month when another large entry just edged them out. The absence of a 2nd Place Monthly Winner leaves such lunkers “in the dust” and lonely. Therefore, in 2008, the final 10% of the Cash Prize Pool will be awarded to the registrants who weigh in the highest-point fish of any eligible species in each division that does not win any Monthly Prize.
ELIGIBLE SPECIES Cold Water Division: Lake Trout & Atlantic Salmon(Brown Trout & Steelhead)
Cool Water Division: Walleye, Smallmouth Bass & Northern Pike
