Went fishing from 2:30pm to around 8:30pm. Started out hot but breezy the bite was so so but as the evening approached the water gave up it's treasure and 'Game ON". Caught most of them on worms seem to be the bait of the day. Yumm green pumpkin and BassPro green with mixed flakes (blue and red and gold).

Got up at 5am to get a good start on the day only to have to wait 3 hours for the rain to let up, almost decided not to put in the water. Ended up fishing till 2pm it got very hot and humid caught one pickerel that could have been a pike certainly was big enough. Didn't waste any film on that. But I did manage to catch one decent bass 1lb 11oz which gave me a nice fight. My fishing bud Stephen got skunked (last two times out) but made up for it on Sunday at Foxboro Reservoir where he caught two nice bass at the same time on a popper. Who needs a stinking umbrella fishing rig, but that is a different story. We also saw some trout swimming around but they did not look to healthy the water temp was 80 plus degrees. Even though it was not the greatest day of fishing a cruse down the Charles with a fishing bud and a couple of cigars make for a good day.

There are no photos, nothing worth bragging about, pretty much a miserable day Very windy and cooler than expected, was supposed to hit 80 didn't make it much past 70. I think the past week having had unstable temperature and all the rain had the fish stacked up suspending in deeper water. We found some of them but they weren't biting anything we were throwing at them. Pretty much everyone we met that day caught about 3 or 4 fish and they were not bragging about them either. Having said that I got a good look at the lake and can see why it is a popular lake. It's a place worth coming back too. Worms, jigs, top-water baits a must here. I have been told 10 inch worms work the best here and will bring some with me next time.
