Review: I went 8/25/12 to Lake Willie around 6:15am. About 60 degrees, slight wind, clear water and skies. Sun was barely coming up. Passed by the big beach, water was choppy. I went to the bottom, where the kayakers launch, opposite the beach. Water was so shallow. I hiked a bit for about a couple hundred feet, left into the woods to a point. Saw some surface feeding. Throw worms near the surface with a float, per the advice of a bait shop. Also threw Kastmasters, high and low. A black Rooster Tail completed my skunking there. Fished for two hours. No others fishing from shore, just boaters fishing. I hear it was slow. The trout was to be taken by trolling. I was hoping a bass would take something. It has been hot for some time, but it was pretty cool at sunrise.
